I love how this story ended. It was sweet and both the epilogue and afterward were much appreciated.
“…lone voice in the wild that was life” so beautifully captures the lifeline that is Severus amid the morass of feelings Harry is experiencing.

Oh, that last paragraph was gold.

I appreciate the foreshadowing in this story that primes us for the angst to come. I also love how clearly we can see Harry’s situation and Severus’s thinking.
I love how insightful Molly is and how you made her top of her class. She’s too often caricatured, so her sharp wits felt like a breath of fresh air.
This theme of feeling alone in the midst of families (whose members feel a sense of belong) is striking. Shivers me down to my bones.

I’m re-reading this story again because it’s an all-time fave. And wow. This is an amazingly angsty chapter. The rain, the mud, I love it all.
I never tire of reading this.
I really enjoyed this story. I was especially touched by the line: "Previously it had always been his belief that one should stand up for what one believes in even if they had to stand alone. Now he believed that one should stand up for what one believes in, taking comfort in knowing he would never be alone again."
I really loved having Luna as a major character. She's one of my favorites. Harry's character progression was, I believe, realistic; and the pixie dust scene almost made me cry.
Thank you for sharing this story. I'm really glad to have had the opportunity to read it.

I re-read this story again, as it’s one of my absolute favorites. I appreciated the epilogue(s) at the end, as a fitting end to a touching story.
