I do wonder if Harry would be better of sharing quarters with Severus. It would show Harry what its like to have an adult to depend upon. Or if it would cause those that are bullying him to increase. Perhaps a house elf should be assigned to assist Harry for his own protection? Do think the teachers need to learn more about Harry's condition - because its clear that he isn't getting all that he needs at Hogwarts - along with a counsellor/mind healer. Definitely investigate the Dursleys.

I like that Severus says, "I care because I must." He's definitely a duty-bound man, which makes him a man of honor in this situation. (Random thought of the day.)

It's nice to see Snape and McGonagall getting along. I have the feeling that Harry will go far with those two by his side!

Nice story, if with a bit of an OoC Snape. Loved the image of Harry flying around the quidditch pitch refusing to chase the snitch. (You want "chalked" not "chocked," BTW.)
