Reviews For Wishing Will Make It So
Author's Response: Thanks! (This suddenly showed up at 7:25pm on Dec 24, along with your reviews for Ch 2 & 3, while your review for Ch 4 came in late night on Dec 23! Maybe Peeves hijacked your reviews!!!) Hope you'll enjoy it all the way through, too!
Author's Response: Fluffy! And you MELTED! (I do hope you'll be WARM for Christmas!) Wow! That makes me feel warm & fuzzy! (And it helps make up for the bagger squashing the dickens out of the pecan pie I just bought; well, I suppose it'll still TASTE good...) So glad you enjoyed "Wishing", and thanks for the fuzzy review! Happy Holidays to you, too! :-)
And the bonus - you gave him a wonderful Christmas. Thank you! Author's Response: You're very welcome! And yes, luckily Snape was right on the scene! (Gotta thank Dumbledore for finally getting his act into gear...) I'm always pleased to hear when one of my ideas has worked out-- I'd wondered if readers might think I'd gone totally around the bend with the snow globe angle! Thanks for letting me know that it didn't crash and burn! Hee! And many thanks for taking the time to review, too! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Author's Response: Glad you liked it! (Hope you also enjoyed the rest of the story, too! ;-D ) Thanks for reading and letting me know! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
Loved this so much! Any chance of a sequel? pretty please??? I would love to see Harry making potions with Snape. :) Author's Response: Hi, Vanime! I'm so pleased that you enjoyed the story! And it's always incredibly flattering when I get requests for a sequel (coz it shows that people REALLY liked it! :-D ), but it's going to be a stand-alone for the time being. :-( When I start a story, I never seem to think in terms of a sequel, so when I get to the ending I've planned, it really seems like THE END! (Maybe I SHOULD begin considering how a possible sequel might play out in future stories...) Anyway, I won't say never (& thanks for the potions angle-- it might be a starting place if I do write a sequel), but it won't be immediate. // MANY MANY thanks for reading and reviewing! And have yourself a Very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! :-)
But once Harry sat down, started rubbing the stair and talking to it, the idea made total sense. Good job. And also, absolutely loved the "Beam me out, Scotty!" Wonderful!! Author's Response: I got stuck for several days, trying to figure out how to extricate Harry from the snow globe. It was easy enough to get him IN, but how could I reverse that process? Much of Dumbledore's and Harry's thought processes reflected my own ponderings of how to get to the "Scotty" moment! I always had THAT part planned! Thank you so much for reading and taking the time to review! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! :-)
Author's Response: Believe it or not, their need for communication literally grew out of the P&S requirement for interaction between Snape and Harry! I could have just had Snape lug the snow globe to Dumbledore and be done with it, but if they HAVE to interact, then I gotta figure out a way for it to happen! I just kept hoping readers wouldn't think it was boring, and you've reassured me, so many thanks!!!
Hehe I loved the little tie-in with the socks Harry always got to what Dumbledore told him at the end. That was really clever. :-) Author's Response: xoxoxox !!! Thanks so much for the compliment! This story was quite unexpected, but inspiration came from somewhere, and I got it done in the St. Nick of time! // Actually, I hadn't thought of doing a sequel, but the story is open-ended enough that it's possible to continue, if I ever get hit by lightning again! My problem is, I can't FORCE my writing, and this current bolt from the blue only took me this far. :-P Still, I'll keep it in mind for a rainy day! // And YES, I couldn't resist the socks! (Socks play such a huge role in canon, after all!) Thank you so much for reading and reviewing! Very Merry Christmas!
Author's Response: Yay! All good things come to ant-sized wizards who wait! Yes, he's safe in the castle for real!
Author's Response: Aww, thank you! As for "cute"-- I couldn't help feeling that everyone in the library kept staring at me tapping the period key over and over to make the elipses between Harry's letters! Ha! But at least they were interacting (as per the P&S requirements-- I literally HAD to come up with SOMETHING for the journey!). |
