Oh no, don’t do it Harry. Great chapter!
Harry! He's thowing the effort right back in Severus' face. I'm beginning to see just how this enmity has gone on for so long. No, you silly boy - Severus might not be your friend or 'father-figure' but he's always been your provider and protector... and it seems that job of SEverus' is coming up next if that note is to be believed. FANTASTIC!
Bad decision. Definitely bad.
Nice chapter:) I'm glad Harry and Hermione are talking.
Author's Response: Thanks Con Moto for your reviews. :) I'm glad you're enjoying it.
Omg! Harry! Bad decision Harry...bad decision.
Curious to see what happnes next. Good chappie.
Thanks for answering my question. As I said, I like the premise. And it's not that I want the story to portray a perfect couple. There isn't enough background information though to tell us why Lily acts the way she does--gives Snape seemingly carte blanche to punish Harry. Normally, I would assume a step-parent wouldn't have so much authority, especially as Harry and Snape do not have a close bond and he actually told Harry he's not to think of him as a father. It's also noted that Lily sides with Snape, which also seems unusual without more background information. Perfection never happens, so my question was more geared toward figuring out if we would have a chance to understand why this family is the way it is. Harry is so unhappy that it's hard to understand why Lily stays with Snape. If she has no self-esteem or if she doesn't realize or if she is dominated by Snape, then those are all things I could understand. I guess I'm just suggesting that to better round out the story, you'll need to address these things. Of course, it's your story and I'll keep reading because I do like this Harry very much and I am interested to see if the characters will be fleshed out. If you would prefer not to listen to me blather, just let me know! :P Can never tell what authors like and don't in reviews.
I enjoyed this chapter, especially Hermione and getting to know the Slytherins. This Harry doesn't seem like the same old tired, fanon/canon Harry. He feels fresh.
Author's Response: No, I definitely appreciate the suggestions and I hope you'll keep giving your feedback honestly. As I said, I'll be trying to give all background information - a lot coming in the next chapter when Harry puts himself in danger - but I wanted to take it slow. This will be a longer work.
I'm glad you like my Harry. :) It means a lot that you think I brought something new to the table.
Ooooh loving all these updates! :) Well at least severus tried to be tolerant in potions so thats a good thing! Can't wait to see what happens with the hogsmeade trip!
Author's Response: I've just been really inspired by this idea. Probably the most excited I've ever been by a fic I'm writing. I should probably go do laundry or something productive because this is all I've done for the last two days is plot and write, lol.
