I really liked the owls. And the story. The two owls, Snape's ingredients garden and Harry's punishment all came together perfectly. And an added bonus is that Harry and Snape will get to know each other better as they care for the garden and the owls. Any chance of a sequel?

Author's Response: Thank you! Yes, I like to think that Snape and Harry will come to see each other as human beings, rather than the stereotypical "dungeon bat" and "Brat-Who-Lived" as they share a common interest... I'm not sure there will be a sequel, but - never say never :)! Thank you for reviewing!

Oh my! I absolutely adore this story. There is too much for me to point out in such a small space, but Diomedes deserves special attention, as he is quite a character. I love how much he resembles Snape in both appearance and manner, and it is easy to imagine that the two of them might get along well. How very interesting it is that Diomedes found his match in Hedwig. =)

Very good job with this story, and thank you so much for sharing it with us!

    Author's Response:

Wow, thank you! I'm so glad you liked Diomedes, and yes, he does resemble Snape in some ways, doesn't he? If Harry were much older (and this not a P&S story :) ), who knows, maybe Hedwig and Diomedes might give their wizards ideas ;)...

Thank you so much for reviewing!

Awww this was too cute! :) I love how Snape didn't just reject Harry when he saw how worried he was about Hedwig! Great job, very enjoyable :)

Author's Response: Thank you! I'm glad you liked the interaction between Harry and Snape, and the common ground they found in their familiars. Thank you for reviewing!

Great story. Loved the interaction between Harry and Snape. Seeing little snippets of Snape as a human being and not just the overbearing Potions professor was fun, although he was still in character. Well written.

Author's Response: Thank you! I'm so glad you think Snape was in character; I was hoping his lenient treatment of Harry didn't come across as OOC, and it's a relief to hear that it didn't! Thanks so much for reviewing!

I loved Diomedes. I love how Harry is so unsure of Snape and seems to want to believe that Snape is evil, but at the same time holding out hope he isn't.

    Great story!

Author's Response: Thank you! Yes, I believe Harry in his first year isn't quite as prejudiced towards Snape, and still more likely to see Snape's human side. Thank you for reviewing, I'm glad you liked it!

Fantastic! I had high expectations when I saw you had posted a new story, and I wasn't disappointed. I just love all the little details you add, even little things like Harry not wanting to tread on Snape's robes, which give colour to the story. I don't know which bit I liked most - I'm going back to read it all again. Oh, and Diomedes really made me laugh. Hoooh!!

Author's Response: Thank you, I'm so glad the story met your expectations! The bit about Harry treading on Snape's robes was inspired by an interview with Tom Felton - apparently, he did tread on Alan Rickman's robes once ;)... Oh, and I'm glad you liked Diomedes! Thank you for reviewing!
