Author's Response: Thank you for reading my story!:) I really appreciate it, and I am glad that you liked it:)
I'm so torn between the two mothers Hermione has. They're both so eager to be her mother, to care for her and all that, so I struggle to pick one over the other. I hope there is some way Hermione can be equally shared, as impossibly difficult as that may be. I do, however, love the scene when Hermione hugged them both. A really sad, but touching scene. Wow. That scene with Harry and Severus was really intense. It was...I have no words, just..wow. And the ending of the chapter was nice too.
I wonder what his mother did when he ignored the nail-gripping warning last time? Awww, go Minerva! Another thing I like about this story is the complete inability to really know anything that is going to happen. Poor Narcissa, that was so sad! Ugh, another cliffhanger. Good chapter though!
Voldemort is coming to visit...I find that hilarious! And lol, yes I imagine it would be awkward to talk to him after Harry spends his school year pretending Tom is evil. This was certainly a flip, to consider Dumbledore evil and Voldemort is coming to dinner for preferred meal from a house elf. I loved the interaction with Harry and Severus, and the “Mum is going to make you talk to me tonight.” made my laugh. Harry's parting words in that conversation was also amusing. Awww, I LOVE Narcissa meeting Hermione in the flashback. And when Hermione was wearing the dress, I thought it was odd and a bit silly someone bought her something when they knew she didn't like it. Then to hear who did buy it, then it was kind of sad and I liked the dress a lot more. I feel sorry for Narcissa too. I mean, she was like Hermione's mother and then... The line about the glare his mum sent Harry was hilarious! I had to pause to laugh at that. And the look on Snape's face when Harry asked about chess had the same result...I'm loving this chapter. I think it's my favourite so far. The cliffhanger, however...you're mean! :)
I love the bit about Snape's eyes! It's so fitting, and sooo true, I reckon. Because his expression doesn't reveal much, but his eyes might. Is Dumbledore really that bad? It's like they're trying to keep the Dark Lord out, not a Headmaster of Hogwarts. Though, if it covered up what James did than I suppose it's not much different to commiting an evil act by his own wand. I think the spacings are a bit off, as in they're too wide and is a little confusing at times as it's like a sentence gets cut off and then continues after a big space. It's not too big a deal, just something I noticed and think it would be easier to read without that. Harry's right, it sounds really hard what he and Hermione had to do to keep up acts like that. I'd be a bit angry too. Aww :( feel sad for Draco, not having friends and being so doubtful. Oooh ominious final line! I hope everything turns out okay... |
