That was a fun story! The multicolored owl at the beginning was a nice tough. And at last Harry finally got to talk to Severus.
Author's Response: I love Errol, but I just had to give Wheezes an outlandish owl, and this one seemed to fill the bill! And yes, I did want to do a Snape-chat via the Resurrection Stone story, but I also wanted to put a different spin on it, and I had never seen a Fred/Stone angle (tho' it would seem like a no-brainer...), so... This story went way off in a different direction from how I'd originally planned Snape's conversation with Harry, but it worked out in the end. Thanks so much for reading and reviewing!
I did enjoy reading this. However, the many uses of all capital words was a tad bit excessive and to be honest, distracting as well. Other than than, good job!
Author's Response: Sorry about the capitals! I don't have the capability to do italics, so I have to substitute capital letters where I would use italics (if the Tiny MCE editor on the site) didn't just nullify them. Likewise, I can't do bold or underlines-- frustrating! But I do need to emphasize certain words, so my only remaining option is to capitalize. Thanks for taking the time to wade through the story, distractions and all, and MANY (oops!) thanks for leaving a review! So glad you enjoyed the tale! :-)
OOPS, I forgot to point out my favorite part, " Instead, he sported a loosely-laced, ruffled white shirt with full sleeves above fitted broad cuffs. And was that LACE adorning the bottom edge of his sleeve cuffs? Harry's eyes goggled when his gaze moved downward past darker blue leggings – LEGGINGS! – tucked into rumpled black suede boots" HEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEH FUNNY!
Author's Response: I think Snape would make an awesome pirate! In my mind's eye, I actually began visualizing him like this several years ago-- ANYTHING to get him out from behind those BUTTONS! And then I got to wondering how Snape might fantasize a life far removed from that of a dungeon-dwelling, potion-making, super-spy-cum-sarcastic-professor, and VOILA! I truly believe part of Severus would yearn for a freedom that always seemed out of reach in this world, but fell within his grasp in the next. My fave part is how he took Harry's advice about the hat! ;-D Thanks for the extra review!
WOW Great job Shadow! I love it so much! Thanks for writing it! :-D
Author's Response: Well, gee! Golly shucks! You are very welcome! *snorts hysterically!* And thanks for reviewing! :-D
that was fun
Author's Response: So glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for taking time to review, too!
