A lovely story. Showed warts and all. The eulogy was well done. The contrasts of the man.
Author's Response: Thank you for your comments. Severus was a complicated man for sure. His actions, in many ways, drive the whole HP saga.
So sad, yet very beautiful!
Author's Response: Thank you so much for leaving your thoughts. I'm glad you saw what I was trying to do - show the truth of the sadness of a loss.
I nearly avoided reading this as I usually prefer 'live Snape' stories, but I am very glad I changed my mind. It is nicely written, and although sad by necessity, it made a fitting tribute to Snape, which the books denied him.
Author's Response: Thanks so much for your comment. There is so much left out of the books about Snape. This is just one of those 'missing moments' I felt compelled to explore. I'm pleased you changed your mind and took a chance on my sad story.
bravo very nicely done very well done indeed thank you .
Author's Response: Thanks for the comment.
Oh, this is so very sad. Nicely written, but very sad.
Author's Response: I'm very glad that I made you sad. :) Seriously, a writer of angst should be able to evoke feelings in their readers and your review makes me believe I succeeded. Thanks for the comments.
what a great story, well written, good job, fantastic
Author's Response: Thanks for the comments.
Thank you for this story. This is something I've always felt was missing in Deathly Hallows, especially when they laid out the bodies of the fallen in the Great Hall. I couldn't believe they'd left Snape in the Shack. There are many details in this story that I liked very much; Ron's changing the cloth to green comes to mind, or Harry's choice of a final resting place for Snape. I really liked your writing, too, and hope to see more from you soon!
Author's Response: Thanks for the review. I seem to gravitate towards doing 'missing moment' stories. I have two other stories in progress, but I don't publish until I'm satisfied they are complete. I go back and change too many details, or add things - like Ron changing the color of the cloth. To publish my writing on first go-round would leave out that richness. This is my first HP story though not my first fanfic.
A very touching story. I would have thought that Minerva would have seen to the former headmaster's remains though having Harry do it was more appropriate. Having Severus buried in Godric's Hollow beside Lily was a nice idea. Having Kingsley Shacklebolt do the eulogy was good, too.
Author's Response: Thanks for the review. You're right, I should have had a line in there where Minerva comments that she just hadn't gotten around to it yet but had planned to or something like that. I'm glad you liked it.
