Thank you I loved the Christmas tree!

Author's Response: I really enjoyed "decorating" the tree, taking Harry's harsh memories and transforming them into delicate bobbles among the branches. Many of the ornaments were inspired by my family's traditional, tarnished decorations, some decades old when I was a child. Unwrapping them each year allowed us to touch a bit of the past! 😉

If think your idea of the tree ornaments a beautiful one. If only it would be like that in the Muggle world ...

Author's Response: That would be cool, wouldn't it??!!! But we have to do it without magic ... which my cats always enjoy! They honestly think they're "helping" me decorate! Many thanks for reading and reviewing.  :-)

Oh that was so sweet! The Christmas tree and the present... Brilliant! I hope Harry's feeling better now that he's talked about it.

Author's Response: To begin with, I'd planned a totally different approach to the "confession" scene, but as I was writing, the Christmas tree kind of took control of the story, and I was as surprised and fascinated as Harry with what happened next! And while Harry may feel better at unburdening his soul, there are a few more things for him to deal with... Thanks once more for your review!

I love the original touches that lift your story up above the average.

Author's Response: Aww... You're so sweet to say so! Sometimes I have to struggle to get something original, and other times, it just comes... But it always makes me feel warm and fuzzy when someone lets me know I've succeeded with something original! So... thanks so much for saying so! ;-)

Wow, this is a fantastic story! I loved how the ornaments appeared on the tree as Harry told his story. I wonder where that idea came from, if it's something Snape had in his house working like that already, or if he just made it up then for Harry. Loved the gift that Snape gave Harry. Fabulous chapter!

Author's Response: Believe it or not, I'M still wondering where the idea for Snape's tree came from! It was NOT in my original outline; the ornament appeared without warning as I was writing, and the rest of the scene practically wrote itself. I love when that happens (tho' it always amazes me....)! Maybe we can blame this on the Magic of Christmas?! And the mantilla was originally just an heirloom scarf... Gee-- when my imagination runs wild, watch out! Thanks for reviewing this chapter, too!

I loved the idea of Wizard Take-In food. What they had sounded great and now I am hungry. The Christmas tree and ornaments was really a lovely idea. It's nice that Harry and Snape had a good Christmas holiday together.

Author's Response: I actually came up with the concept of Wizard Order-In a couple of years ago, & I was waiting for the right time to get it into a story. I don't doubt Snape can cook, but sometimes you just want to take the easy out. And in Harry's case, allowing him carte blanche with the menus was strategic on Snape's part. (That man is soooo Slytherin!) Yes, I enjoyed doing the Christmas tree, but that idea literally came to me in the moment of writing, and it worked out beautifully-- yay! Thanks so much for another nice review, & sorry if I whetted your appetite! ;-)

This is beautiful! I love the tree!

Author's Response: Thanks! :-) Like I said in my text, I hadn't consciously planned for the tree to play an active role-- it was just going to be sitting there on the table while Harry became very defensive responding to Snape's questions-- but the scene took on a life of its own when my pen ran away with the story! (I write much better with a pen than with a computer-- when the computer does its own thing, it's NEVER good... :-P ) Thanks for the review!

Oh what a lovely idea with the decorations appearing every time Harry reveals something new about the Dursley's abuse.

    Wonderful story!!!

Author's Response: Believe it or not, that Christmas tree scene came out of nowhere-- I had not planned it to play out as a "therapy" tool. But as Harry made his first confession, my pen suddenly ran away with the story, and more and more decorations appeared, then the tree got bigger and bigger... I think I ended up as amazed as Harry himself! So glad you're enjoying it! And thanks for this review!
