Beautiful story. The Christmas tree gaining a decoration with each truth revealed is a compelling visual. Thanks for the great story.

Author's Response: Thank you so much! I wanted a different take on the Snape-uncovers-the-truth-about-Harry, and the Christmas tree really played a lovely role, giving Harry something tangible and comforting to focus on during his soul-baring confession. Many thanks for reading and reviewing! 🎄

    Beautiful.

Author's Response: Thank you for saying so! And thanks also for reading and reviewing! It's not quite Christmas in July (because it's only June), but definitely cool to get review on winter story in the summer. Hee!

Oh, Harry. That last dialogue ripped my heart to pieces.

Author's Response: Awww... But at least I know as a writer that I managed to get the emotional impact through to my audience-- thanks for letting me know! 😉 And many thanks for reading and reviewing an older story! Much appreciated!

    Very nice ending!

Author's Response: Thanks! *shadow hopes Jtz liked the rest of the story, too!* A lot of highs and lows throughout this tale, but I definitely wanted to end on a high note-- it's Christmas, after all! Thanks for reviewing! :-)

I almost cried when Malfoy ripped the mantilla.

This was rather sweet, Shadow. I really like it. Winter lace... good name for it. Well done!

Author's Response: Thank you so much, Dream! I've been a "lace-watcher" for many years now, and I'd been itching to incorporate the concept of winter lace into a story. Christmas seemed the perfecr time to do it! Glad you liked it, and thanks for the review! :-) Happy New Year, too!

That was lovely... and yes I can see where you were going with this. Perhaps a sequel in time?

Author's Response: I never say "never" regarding a sequel, but I didn't have one planned. Still, if I ever get stuck for a story idea, it's something to keep in mind. Many thanks for reading and reviewing, and Happy New Year!
