Reviews For The Trouble with Harry
Author's Response: Thanks for the review and the kind words. I'm glad you're enjoying the story.
Author's Response: Thanks so much. There will be more Eileen and her story in later chapters.
Author's Response: Thanks so much for your kind words. I'm glad you gave me a chance.
It's funny (and real) how his mum is bossing him around. Author's Response: Thanks. I always thought that Severus would let his mother boss him around. He might not like it, but he does love her.
Severus' characterization is spot on, and you deftly wove bits of background into the story in a way that set the scene without info dumping. At first I thought Severus had carpal tunnel, but the pain in his knees and ankles make me think RA. Guess I'll have to read on and find out. ;) Author's Response: Oh, I think Eileen's marriage was well beyond bad into toxic. More will be explained later. Hmm.. I think you'll have to read more to find out what is the deal with Severus and his aches. Thanks for the review. I really appreciate them.
Author's Response: The next chapter is with my last beta reader right now. Thanks for the kind words. I have wanted to explore Severus' relationship with his mother for a while. I must admit, this isn't the first time I've had a male character do repairs in my stories. One of my friends thinks I have a Tim Taylor Home Improvement obsession.
Author's Response: Yes, Petunia may have inadvertantly done Harry a favor, but don't believe for one minute she thought she was. LOL! I really wanted to write a story with an adult Severus and his mum. I've had this Eileen in my mind for years and have just found the vehicle to put her in. Thanks for the kind review. I really appreciate it. The next chapter will be up shortly.
You do Snape as Harry's guardian so well. I can't wait to read more!! Dumbles will flip when he finds out that Harry was abanadoned like that. Author's Response: Thanks so much. I've really wanted to do one of these stoiries for a while, but couldn't find the right inspiration. Thank god for romanticide's challenge, right?
Author's Response: Thanks for the kind words. I am working on chapter two right now. |
