Reviews For For Valour
Author's Response: Howdy, Shadow! Thanks for reviewing, especially on a past chapter! I am glad that you are intrigued! Hmm ... I haven't really heard of The Village ... but perhaps I must check it out. I think Harry has mixed feelings about being sorted into Gryffindor, as any kid would. One one hand, he could have been Slytherin with his father as the Head of House - similar to home, and on the other, be in Gryffindor and enjoy the freedom from time to time. Cheers!
Author's Response: Thanks for the feedback, Manfredd!
Very intriguing story and I am anxious to see where you go with it. I am curious to see what happened to Snape to make him have nightmares and be so anxious. Author's Response: Thanks for the review! Yeah, I can't wait to start posting the real guts and gravy of the story, once it gets into the past a little. Cheers!
Author's Response: Thank you so much for reviewing! I am very glad that this story is interesting to you. More shall come next week!
As for the story itself: I really like the initial set up, the brief glimpse into the summer life at Spinner’s End (a special thanks for Eileen Prince) and the reminiscences of a troubled past. Even at this early stage the story feels real. Oh, and making Severus the narrator, thus allowing your readers to learn his innermost thoughts directly from the most credible source was a brilliant idea! Keep up the good work, I’ll definitely keep coming back! :) -- Ann Author's Response: Oh wow, thank you Annora! I am so glad you are liking it, and my little bit of additional info too. And yes, the wounded hero's psyche is fascinating - I have a bit of an obsession with that actually. Haha, and you are welcome for Eileen. She's fun! I just wish I could incorperate her more than just every so often. I am also pleased you liked Severus being the narrator. I felt he needed to be, and in first person like that. CAnd more shall come for you to read as long as you wish to follow along! ;)
Severus really should have told Harry before the train ride. Author's Response: Yes, he does. That was years ago, and it has gotten a bit better, but not completely. But yes, he sure should have told Harry before! Thanks for reviewing!
Author's Response: Howdy! Thanks for the review. Hope it stays intriguing! ;)
Author's Response: Hey SeverusPrince101 - thanks so much for your review! I knew almost nothing about the Falklands war until I started this project either. I had to do a ton of research, but it was very interesting. Some of the first hand accounts ... wow. I am really pleased to hear you like where this is going, and yes, somehow being bullied can be a little bit like a small-scale war, and it hurts in so many similar was I think, which clearly you've had experience with too. *sighs* Anyway, Hope you continue to enjoy it, and thanks for your support! Cheers! ;) |
