You had me crying by the end of this, specially since Sev, poor dear Severus was imagining his homecoming with a smiling Lily at the other side only to get his hopes killed in the most horrific of ways. I can't imagine the sheer amount of pain that must be coursing through his heart. When I cry from normal sadness even then I feel like my heart is being shattered, so how must that feel? I wonder, even now knowing that I NEVER want to experience it. Keep up the good work, can't wait for more.
Author's Response: Hello! Wow, thank you so much for the detailed review. Yeah, this chapter sure hurt to write in parts, and I am glad I too cannot fully imagine just what that would feel like. I have lost people, but thankfully never in the way Severus does in this story. Thanks again for reviewing, and more is on the way, same time next week!
What a heartwrenching chapter...you could just feel the tension and fear and horror. I hope one of the resolutions you have coming in the story is maybe Harry finding Ben or what happened to him. I think it'd be good closure for Severus.
Author's Response: Thanks so much for the feedback! That would be a good way for Severus to find closure, indeed. Cheers!
Very descriptive. And heart wrenching. Looking forward to more.
Author's Response: Thanks a lot for the feedback! Great to hear you thought it was emotional and descriptive.
Will Severus be able to see Lily & Harry when he's on leave?
Author's Response: Well, the Falklands war was only around 74 days. So leave isn't likely. Cheers! Thanks for reviewing!

Nice contrast in the feel of the narrative in the section where Severus is longing to be back with Lily, as opposed to the interraction with his comrades.
Author's Response: Thanks for the feedback, lovely and specific! My favourite. ;)
Looking forward to more. Can't wait for more.
Author's Response: Great to hear! Thanks for the review!

OMG! I love this story!!! I was bit surprised when the story mentioned Korean War as I thought the War was not well acknowledged to others. I guess I was wrong, no offence!
Author's Response: Hello! Why thank you for the review! I am very pleased you are enjoying the story. Most people here I think know about the Korean war (although at the time I think it was called a Police Action or something ...), so maybe it's just where you live (I'm in Canada). Cheers! ;)
This was interesting. I'd read a little about this war in school for a project, but I'd forgotten most of it until now. Snape's feelings and reluctance to talk about it seem realistic, mirroring my grandfather's responses when I had asked him about his time serving in WWII. I'm interested to see where this will go.
Author's Response: Great to hear you find this intriguing. Yeah, there aren't a lot who want to talk about any war experiences - so I'm glad you felt it was realistic. Thanks for reviewing!
I have to admit that this style of writing works very well as you get into the storytelling aspect - it flows nicely. Like Harry, I eagerly await 'Saturday'! (I'm also reminded to check out Simon Weston's inspirational real life story.)
Author's Response: I am glad you feel the style doesn't kill the story! I liked the first person present tense too much in the flashbacks to axe it, even though it isn't conventional. But then again, this story isn't exactly conventional. Anyway, it is wonderful to hear that you are looking forward to more! Cheers!
Very interesting chapter. Looking forward to more. Update soon.
Author's Response: Thanks cara-tanaka!
