I like how chill this meeting was, because Snape's in the middle of a paradigm shift and James just wants him to help Harry. I alos like that little bit you threw in there from the scene in the movies where Snape is the first one to Godric's Hollow, but you put just a bit more character to it, by saying Snape held Harry. I like it, because even if Snape cried over Lily (which it never says in the books) I still think he'd soothe Harry, because Snape isn't all that bad.

I liked your James Potter. And Snape clearly has a good side if he comforted little Harry before Hagrid arrived. He also is where the abused students are sorted so he must be the one who can recognize and care for them. Potter seems to have gotten through to him about Harry's circumstances.

Author's Response: He seems to be more at ease with his snakes. Had Harry been sorted to his house things would have been different.

Nice to see James making an appearance, and Severus start to believe what he's being shown.

    Author's Response:

I wanted James to be more mature than they had been at school.

Given thier past animosity he was probably the last person Snape was wxpecting besides Tobias.
