Reviews For The Summer We Went Mental
Author's Response: Definitely agree with you there on the shock value that would have on a fragile mental state! I'm pretty sure it would do me in if that happened to me ... :S Thankfully Harry is a strong one, and yes, there is a lot of opportunity there. :) Thanks for the review, Dream!
Author's Response: You mean, a cliffhanger at the end of the story, which is to say the prologue I have provided? That isn't the end. That's just a hint at where things will go. Snape breaking his leg? An oddly specific suggestion. The ending is already worked out, so I'm not thinking that's part of the plan. Thanks for the review!
Author's Response: You're welcome! Thanks for reviewing.
Author's Response: Haha, thanks crotia!
Author's Response: And plenty of angst will come! Thanks for the review. ;)
Author's Response: Yes, no doubt Dumbledore will be thinking hard after that encounter. Haha, yeah, Harry definitely seems a little calm doesn't he? Thanks for reviewing!
Author's Response: Howdy! Great to hear you enjoyed the "showdown" with Dumbledore and Snape. I figured Snape would be pretty volatile - I almost feel kind of bad for inflicting that comment on Dumbledore! Yeah, I figured that the new situation would shock Harry out of his funk for a little while. Make him seem okay, and once routine was established ... things would bleed through again. Only a matter of time ... unfortunately. His sort of issue is a bit strange in the fact that it's easy to look alright a lot of the time, but it's those times when life gets overwhelming that really make the person break down (from what I've seen). Anyway, thanks so much for the review! I'm stoked that you are enjoying this story as much as you are. Cheers, and thanks for the detailed review!
It was very considerate of Dumbledore to have cast a silencing charm so no one (Harry) could hear what he and Severus talked about. But given the way Albus has always treated Severus when they're NOT alone, it was unexpected. Albus usually wants people to overhear and think that Severus is being unreasonable and demanding. So I wonder if perhaps the visiting rooms are pre-charmed instead, or if the staff charm them ahead of allowing visitors into them. Author's Response: Hmm, well, you could make a case for either situation, really. The way I see it though, is that the hospital charms the visiting rooms, so that people are ensured privacy. There are of course security measures involved in that, meaning if something is getting violent/dangerous, the spells applied to the room would alert staff. But keep in mind, if it was Dumbledore, he probably would have done it because Snape knows a lot of Order secrets - although not all due to his previous position as a spy - and therefore could have divulged some in his distressed state. Bad for Harry to hear, as well as any other patients/staff in the ward to hear. Thanks for the review.
