I really love the idea of a course for professors on spotting abuse. There needs to be more awareness around these issues. Terrific chapter.

This is the favorite story of all I am currently reading, can't wait for the next chapter! I love the unusual openness of Snape, and how his feelings don't make him mushily OOC, if that makes sense. I look forward to the development of his relationship with Harry!
Author's Response: Hey, Liza! Excellent to hear you are enjoying it! It is a relief to hear you feel Snape isn't too OOC. It's been a challenge, because in the books he is rarely portrayed in emotional settings but in this, I've had to really find a way to portray his emotional difficulties in a realistic way in the context of Snape's character. This chapter was really good. You really do well at portraying how the abuse would have affected Severus, when he was young and now.
