Awesome. I love how it ended. To be true and strong Polly and Shape's relationship had to be forged in some heavy stuff! This makes everything so believable. Great job on such a difficult chapter.

I love the contrast between James and Snape, especially with regard to searching for a ring and James's 'huggyness'. Great chapter!

    Author's Response:

The ring scene is one of my favourites so I'm glad you liked it too!

Thanks so much for the review!

Fantastic chapter I just want this world to go on an on! Thank you

    Author's Response:

    Hey Fmh,

Thanks so much! It's funny, originally there was only meant to be like 5 little vignettes that showed Severus' changes, but I got so obsessed with the world that I kept flushing it out until this happened so I know what you mean about wanting this world to go on.

I'm so glad you like it - thanks for always reviewing, that's super awesome of you!

Great update! Was the ring still in Snape's pocket when he went to Azkaban? What happened to it?

    Author's Response:

Great question! One I didn't really think of until multiple people started asking me!

The ring was in his pocket, but the guards at Azkaban kept it safe with his other possessions. I think he may have tried to give it back to James, I can see him having trouble looking at it after what happened. I think he would have done it so profusely that James would have taken the ring and held it for Severus until he needed it again. Pauline did get proposed to with that ring though :)

     Thanks for you review!

Ohhhh this was perfect! In every possible way!

I just just love the way you make Severus grow in this story and he needs to do so in order to become Harrys family after he wakes as well (although I don't want him to wake up haha).

A funny fact: I'm still wondering about the wedding ring - did he gave it back because of his stay in Azkaban? Did he leave it at home or did he take it with him?
I know... stupid little thing to think about but that's just "how I roll" :D

PLEASE update as soon as possible!

    Author's Response:

Yeah, I feel bad about the fact that he has to wake up haha, but I do think he'll learn a lot which is important.

I wrote this on another review but I am going to copy and paste it here:

Good question btw, I didn't really think of it until you guys all started asking to be honest.

I hope you enjoy the rest of the story! Let me know your thoughts! Thanks again for reviewing.

Wow. A lot certainly happened in this chapter. I liked the scene where James gave Severus the Potter ring to give to Pauline. Sev has truly become part of the family. The breakup was so sad - I wondered how they would resolve it. Polly seems to have made up her mind so the wedding should be coming up soon. I wonder of Voldemort is really gone? Being stabbed with a chair leg may be enough but I'll have to wait and see. I'm really enjoying your story and very glad that you are sharing it with we readers.

    Author's Response:

I'm glad you liked the ring scene, it is one of my favourites too!

I know, I was worried about the break-up because I wanted people to like Pauline, but if you really think about what he did, that's a hard thing to get past (and it should be) especially when her parents were potentially killed if not by him, by his friends. I wanted to stay true to that stuggle for her. Ultimately, though she loved him and he loved her, and that allowed her to look beyond his past.

As for Voldemort, the chair leg may have just done it ;)

wow. that was really intense. but what exactly happened to voldermort and the other death eaters? and the last horcrux??

oh i get that this is a dream right? when will snape returns back in reality with harry? O:

    Author's Response:

James stabbed Voldemort through the stomach with the broken leg of a wooden chair.

The deatheaters were trying to get in the room, Remus was able to keep them locked away until they disapparated. The last Horcrux was the Diary. Dumbledore figured it out after Voldemort reappeared and destroyed it.

And its more than a dream, its a very intense, realistic vision. The visions have been used to convict people for criminal offences so they are reliable alternate realities, but ultimately, yes it is not true. Keep reading, Snape will return soon!

I was shocked when she said she couldn't be with a death eater like Severus. I wanted to slap her. But, I guess I can forgive her now that she regrets what she did and is back with Severus like she was supposed to be all along.
I wonder which horcrux they forgot and who brought back Voldeyshorts. Oh the irony Vodey dies in suck a muggle way. LOL!!!
    Great Chapter

    Author's Response:

I was worried about that break-up scene because I didn't want people to start hating Polly. I wanted to be true to the seriousness of Snape's actions though, and how hard that could be to get past for someone who had their parents killed by Deatheaters.

The Horcrux they didn't get was the Diary. Dumbledore figured out that they would be related to Hogwarts so they got the locket (James knew who RAB was), the cup and the diadum. Guant's ring was also an obvious choice to Voldemort. However, since the Chamber didn't open in this timeline, they did not figure out that the diary was a Horcrux until after Voldemort's return.
