    I was glad that you mentioned Harry's physical enjoyment and mental hated of the abuse. Abuse patients often feel that way. Snape must have been furious that Albus let Harry leave. I wonder if he will check on him at the Dursleys?

    Well, at this point in the story, Severus doesn't suspect any sort of sexual abuse.  He just figures that the Dursleys beat Harry and the like, which is enough for him to want Harry removed from the situation.  Christmas break isn't long though, and based on Severus' assumptions of the nature of the abuse, doesn't check up, no.

    I hope to read more reviews as you continue!

    Harry had every right to say he didn't want to go. All he had to do was refuse and lie to his relative saying that they had a big Christmas thing at school this year and he had to stay.
