That's interesting. So Snape knows a blind wizard. I wonder if Bartley will meet Harry at some point? Getting tips from another blind wizard would be easier than getting second-hand info from Snape.

I was happy to see an update. I quite enjoy stories with harry as blind. your harry is obviously going to have trust issues since nearly all adults have failed him in some way or the other. It was interesting to have an old mentor of Severus' be blind. Was he a Death Eater, now reformed because of his blindness? it would be interesting if he was, especially if he'd needed help from muggles. Anyway, hope you update soon.

Originally I thought it would come out in this chapter, but the conversation did not turn that way. I imagine it will come out eventually. I do have a number of background details for this story though that may or may not necessarily end up being included in the actual story.

Harry had quite a long day. No wonder he was exhausted. That is a lot to take in. It sounds like it will take time for him to trust the adults there. At least he will be safe and well cared for in Hogwarts.

I like interactions described in this chapters, although I have to say that I'd prefer Severus to be main (even if not official) caretaker of Harry.
hoping for more Severus & Harry interactions in next chapter.

Great chapter. I like how you portrayed Snape, and Harry's reactions were quite realisitic. I look forward to future updates.
Author's Response: thank you, I'm very glad to hear you liked the chapter. It was surprisingly difficult to write, even though there is not so much action. I'm glad you find it realistic - I had to delve pretty deeply into the characters to figure out what they would do.
What a beautifully written story so far. You haven't overdone Harry's injuries, but kept things believable, and allowed his courage and determination to shine through. The OCs have demonstrated a good range of characteristics, although its a bit of a mystery how Emily managed to pass checks for suitability to look after a child. I'm really looking forward to seeing how Harry deals with Hogwarts and magic.

A similar phenomenon is called a "sense of obstacles" in my first language; so, maybe "obstacle sensing"?
