He is going to be soooo soo humiliated after his whole class seeing that! Will the Slytherins be decent for once and not tease Harry about it? I kind of hope so. It would show much more maturity and growth than they would usually have though. I bet that the person casting the spell is Professor Snape. At least I hope it is! How will Snape react to seeing all that? It was rather violent and shocking. Now all Harry's classmates know what he hears when Dementors are near. Will they support him more now? Harry really needs help. How will he get it? Oh, I hope that someone will take him to the hospital wing and really start to figure out what is going on and take the first steps to heal him. This story seems to be full of drama and angst, lots of character exploration and healing. I can't wait! Thank you for the updates! I think the story gets better with each chapter. What happens next? Please update when you can!
I wonder if the goblin theory was right. No... I don't think so, but I can't rule anything out yet in this story! Great job adding in November 2nd as the worst day of the Dursley's lives. The mystery deepens! Poor little Harry having to be left out while his family left for fun things on that day. I like that the teachers have a big conference two weeks into the school year. I wonder if the students are going to gain weight and get fat from having to eat so much chocolate. I'm glad that Snape noticed how badly Harry's been suffering and feels guilty about it. Why are the Dementors so attracted to Harry? How did Snape know what memories the Dementors make Harry relive? Why isn't Harry curious about the Dementors, why they are attracted to him so, and how to protect himself from them? I'm a little surprised that Harry isn't researching that as well. It seems that this Hermione was refused a time-turner. She should be refused one! This will make things interesting. I hope that Hermione will drop divination. She doesn't like it and thinks it is useless in the book/movies. Poor Harry. He seems like he is in a mess this year already, even worse than in the books! Five encounters with Dementors when they affect him so much is awful. How come the Crucio can hurt him when he is remembering it? Poor baby Harry, poor thing. Great job describing the memory. It seems so real. Did Madame Pomfrey really not notice Harry's injuries when she assessed him? Or is something else going on? I'm really glad that the teachers seem to be protecting Harry from the Dementors. So is Harry avoiding his friends because he feels so terrible and he doesn't believe that his friends can or should join him where he is emotionally? Great start to the story, I enjoyed this chapter and the mystery unfolding. There were a few errors and you might do well to get a beta reader to go through and correct some of them. This is a fascinating start and I am very interested in what will happen next. You did a very good job painting a picture of this school year for Harry. Great job with the details and descriptions in this chapter, but especially great job with the flashback memory scene. Poor Harry just can't get a break.
It's so cool that you created this mystery about what happened to Harry in between Voldemort's death and when he was placed with the Dursley's. Luna seems super strange - which is what everyone thought about her in the books at first. I think you did a better job than JK Rowling in making her seem so wacky. I'm glad that she was there, I wonder if her explanation is true or not. With Remus gone from the compartment it was lucky that she helped. Those Dementors are so creepy. I'm really intrigued about the added things Harry hears when the Dementors are near. Wow. Great start!
I will be waiting for next chapters, as I definitely want to learn more about how Severus will react.
