Looking at the last update date, I'm assuming I shouldn't expect this to ever get finished. :( Although irl I'm completely against abuse and especially punishing a child in anger, I do enjoy reading things like this. I'm sad it was never finished.

It is less that we are somehow "scared" of spanking and more that it is deeply, deeply hypocritical to portray corporal punishment as some sort of refuge from abuse. Particularly when Harry is repeatedly framed as being unreasonable for crying at the constant verbal abuse, continued physical abuse, and entirely unreasonable demands.
Even aside from that, the story is dreadfully uneventful. We've been through 7 chapters of this and it seems as though nothing at all has happened but a constant repetition of Snape yelling and Harry crying.
I really hope you come back to this. I definitely want to be 'pleased with the next chapter'.
