I'm glad that Dumbledore found Harry and returned him. I was also glad that he didn't bail Harry out with Snape. Harry does need to learn to follow rules.
Harry was crazy to leave the house without his wand, at least. He doesn't seem to learn too quickly, otherwise he would stop mouthing off to Snape. Conditions there are better than at the Dursleys so I would think he would at least be resigned to it and stop irritating Snape.
Way to be the bigger man Harry.
Harry has been fairly dumb so far. Can't wait to find out how much worse he can get. (We do love torturing them, don't we?)
Harry was really asking for it. Especially since Snape had been treating him better.
I'm glad they are making some progress in getting along better. Small steps.
After being Head of House for so long, I would think that Severus wouldn't expect so much from an eleven year old. Still, he still has a lot of preconceptions about Harry. I imagine he will know that Harry was in his bedroom and be livid.
Harry really is having a hard time of it. Snape is better than the Dursleys about his physical needs but only slightly better in taking care of his emotional wants. At least by the end of the chapter, he was showing some compassion.
I wondered if Snape would visit the Dursleys after he found out they had beaten Harry. Dumbledore is going to have to come up with some punishment for the Dursleys because Snape won't let that go. If Albus doesn't take care of it, Severus will. Hopefully he will make more of an effort to get along with Harry now.
Snape really is being horribly mean. An eleven year old boy needs more to keep himself occupied than what he has provided. Severus must be clinging hard to his original beliefs about Harry.
