Count on Albus to think that Harry and Snape would be a good idea (though it probably will work out. :) Snape sounds in character to me. I wonder if Dumbledore will act further against the Dursleys for their mistreatment of Harry?

Very good chapter with an excellent Harry thank you
And the shadow of James Potter's actions arrives! I could see that Lily's actions drove Snape to not accept Harry's apology of "I'm sorry", just as Snape's "I'm sorry" carried no weight with Lily.
Good story, I have trouble with keeping Snape in character but you're doing a good job.
