I was wondering though. Can't they rebuild Harry some normal looking ears, even if on the inside they don't function normally, just for aesthetic purposes and so that he doesn't have '2' reasons to feel different. I love how you have come up with an original plot-nicely done. Author's Response: hm, that's a good thought. I had honestly mainly only considered reasons they can't re-construct the inside, not the outer part. But I still don't think it would really make sense, for a few reasons. One is that nothing of that nature was discussed when Fred's ear was cursed off - obviously it could not be fixed back on since it was cursed off, but they don't talk about constructing a new fake one. Also, generally speaking, the wizarding world seems to be behind the muggle one when it comes to things they can't fix - surgery seems to be a somewhat foreign concept. But I will consider the matter a bit more. Thanks for the review! |
