This was great! I loved that you kept them in-character and their interactions were so good. The ending was hopeful, but a little sad. I imagine they would continue to get together for chess though, even if Harry is no longer Snape's caretaker.
That was a neat story. I liked the way Harry and Severus were both struggling somewhat after the defeat of Voldemort. Harry had gained a lot of respect for Snape after viewing his memories so I could imagine him being willing to help Severus and being patient with his snarkiness. I like that they were able to work through their problems and continue with their lives more fully after making peace with each other.

This is really well-written and touching. I've never read a fic quite like this before.
Author's Response: Thank you, I'm so glad you like it! I'm not quite sure where it came from... just kind of came out.
I like the way Harry and Severus ended up by helping each other. Snape finally seeing the real Harry was good, too. I hope Snape's physical problem finally stabilized. That must have been hard for him to accept.
