A lovely and somber short story
This was very good. I loved it!
Very nice. Short, but includes enough explanation so you know what is happening. Sad, but I can see this happening quite easily.
Bittersweet, I liked it, even though its really very short!
Wow--it's wonderful how you've managed to express such emotion and resignation in such a short story, it was beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing! :) Love Snape's inviting words, still so 'him' even in death, but no longer harsh. Love it!
You weren't kidding when you said this was sad! The idea of Harry just wasting away in his grief is so tragic, yet I can imagine it happening. He's just had so many hard knocks in his life - the final battle could have easily been the last straw.
Nicely done.

Lovely story sad but beautiful, I am so glad you are getting back into writing
Sad, yes, but lovely too, and a real lesson in what can be achieved in just a few words.
Author's Response: Heh, TftR. I'm not quite at Drabble level yet. I still feel uncomfortable writing such short stories. Still, at least my grammar is getting better.
You're right... This story is quietly sad, but the light criticism at the end makes me smile -- Snape just had to get in a gentle dig, even as he extends the hand of peace! Happy Halloween! Thanks for posting before the witching hour! ;-)
Author's Response: Hee, Your Welcome, and TftR! I had to do something for Halloween, something to mark that particular day in the HP canon. Rowling generally ignored it, despite it being such a momentous occasion. So...yeah. And Snape would be forever cynical like that!
