Reviews For Spiral of Trust
Author's Response: Thank you! More interaction in the next chapter, I promise. You do quite right to keep your eyes open for a possible villain - because of course there is one - or several - in this story :-)
I kind of wish they'd have a conversation about Lily soon, though. It's so frustrating, feeling the obvious elephant in the room. I think Harry deserves it. Author's Response: Thank you for reviewing! I sympathise with your frustration. Snape is indeed impossibly sensitive and irrational about breaching the subject of Lily with Harry. In a few chapters, during which I’m afraid the tension will only build up even more, circumstances will, however, force them to speak about her and there will be a kind of release. For a tolerably satisfactory settlement between S and H, I’m afraid you’ll have to wait until the very end of the story, though…
I did like the foreshadowing and warning the grumpy Healer relayed to Harry. That they'll suck him dry due to his celebrity status and scarcity of his skills. I'm curious as to where that will go. Author's Response: Don't apologise! I really appreciate how you protest the inconsistencies and the unfairness of some points in the story! Can’t get away with anything… But, I promise, a few chapters ahead, there will be a further explanation - a scene between S and H where the acromantula paper is discussed - with a little twist to it, that I hope you will appreciate and that, hopefully, will make you see things a little differently. Can’t tell you more…
About the ”use you until you fall into pieces” warning, it’s interesting that you picked it up, because it is indeed a danger with talented and kind people like Harry, who so wish to do good by persons around them. If they don’t define the boundaries of their abilities to help others, they will loose themselves. I don’t think that I will be able to elaborate very much on the subject in this story, though. Harry would need to work at St Mungo’s to illustrate the point and he still has six months left at Hogwarts. Maybe I could leave it for a possible sequel?
Did I tell you that I enjoy your reviews very much?
Author's Response: I think you might be right about Snape objecting to Harry's staying... ;-) I'll update in a few days. Thanks for reviewing!
