Reviews For Spiral of Trust
Author's Response: I guess I am fond of theorising... I was a bit worried that people would find it boring when I first posted my story, but now I have received positive comments about it from a few people and I am glad that you like it as well! It would be nice to make out, the scientific way, how magic works, but I suppose it is a hopeless task ;-)
Author's Response: Oh bother! That was an embarrassing mistake. The computer will not highlight it and I obviously was blind when proof-reading, not really having the intuition of the language. Thank you for helping out! My friend who is beta-reading my text unfortunately has a lot to do at work, so I have chosen to post ahead, as I don’t want to drag it out (you lose the pace of the story when the updates are months apart and my friend is only at chapter 11…). I take pains to review the chapters one by one as thoroughly as possible before posting. I’m afraid there are more mistakes - prepositions, for example, that’s enough to give you a headache… I’m doing my best, though, and learning a lot in the process. If you want to read a better version of this story you might try to reread it in twelve months or so and the language will probably have improved :-)
Author's Response: Thanks!
Author's Response: Thank you for reading and appreciating the story! Much more is coming :-)
Author's Response: Thanks! The events in Paris will be unravelled soon, but there will be further complications... I'll be updating in a few days :-)
Author's Response: No, I suppose his reaction was expected. Wasn't it a bit cute, though, that his first thought was that Harry and Ginny had eloped to Paris...? Maybe I was not very clear about it, but they did contact the French Ministry of Magic. The Aurors' Office is part of the British Ministry of Magic and Mrs Steadfast's secretary, Ophelia, contacted the Security Office in Paris, without much sucess, however.
Author's Response: Thank you for reviewing so faithfully- it encourages me!
Can't wait for more! Author's Response: Thanks! Although I do care about you readers as well, naturally. Otherwise I would not publish the story, but keep it to myself... Sometimes what I picture in my head and write down is not at all what the readers perceive and react to and that is very valuable for me to know in order to become a better writer.
I also appreciated a little more insight into their relationship. I like that as you've written them they're not totally compatible; Harry is somewhat shy and wishes for anonymity, whereas Ginny loves the spotlight and longs to be seen. But they work together and even when they argue a bit about their worldview it's clear they still adore and respect each other. And now we know the fate of the Auror who was trailing them for Mrs Steady. Everything happened too suddenly for anyone to activate the watches Steady gave them. I wonder how the attacker knew to target the Auror? I sense more revelations coming... Excellent as always! Author's Response: Thank you for appreciating this chapter as I so wish to do Paris justice - it is a magical city! I'm glad that you liked the story of the Stone-Faced Widower, too! |
