I love Sprout’s advice, and am heartened that Snape seems willing and open to change his dynamic with Harry.
I really like this so far, which is surprising and great given my standards in concerns to multi chapter stories.
I really like the way you've presented Snape and Harry in this story. Their reactions feel very natural and I'm happy to see that while their emotions are strong you haven't made it seem too dramatic or well, ridiculous.
Hopefully I'll continue to enjoy the other chapters as well. :)
Author's Response: Thanks. I'm glad you enjoyed the story so far. It is rather long and some people have commented that I tend to ramble too much. Some scenes are included more for the purpose of character development than plot and this has made the chapters longer and longer. I need to find a good balance between the two. This is my first multi chapter story and I'm still learning how to write effectively. Thanks again for commenting and I hope you enjoy the rest of my story.

I love having professor Sprout in the story a lovely character! Thank you a great chapter and once again Dumbledore is a fool!

It's great that you liked my adding Professor Sprout to the story. She always gets left out of everything. I figured that I'd give Hufflepuff house a voice too. I like the idea of a house based on kindness (although I myself am a proud Slytherin.)
I hope you write more, this is a wonderful start!
Author's Response: Thanks! I plan on updating once a week. This is probably going to be a long story with Harry slowly getting to know Snape and his dark past.
I like that Sprout and Severus are friends. Since herbology and potions would seem to go hand in hand, they would have some things in common. She doesn't come up too often in stories so it's nice to see her in a more active role.

She's not even listed as one of the characters but I thought that Severus would go to her for potion ingredients. I also pictured eleven year old Severus hiding in the greenhouse when everything became too much. Thanks again for the review!

Author's Response: My first review for my first fanfiction! Thanks! I don't know why but I always pictured Severus seeking comfort from Professor Sprout after being bullied. Maybe it's because she'd be unbiased since she's a Hufflepuff.
