This was an interesting chapter! Snape is all over the place in his dealings with Harry. The other occupant of the house gives me shivers, but I look forward to her and Harry meeting.

The snake was a surprise. No wonder Snape was so upset. Too bad that he is still taking it out on Harry. At least since Harry is training with Sprout, who is Snape's friend, she may help Harry understand him better. I'm sure that at some point, Severus and Harry will find out about their shared ability to talk to snakes. That should help create more of a bond between them. One comment - you mentioned 'easier to bare' at least once. It should be 'easier to bear.'
Author's Response: Things are definitely going to improve between Snape and Harry in the next few chapters. He's going to try and patch things up with Harry. Thanks for pointing out the mistakes. My spelling could use a little help sometimes.

Author's Response: They won't find out for a while yet but when they do, it'll be mindblowing for all three of them. (Even Harry will have conflicting feelings when he finds out.)
