The angst in this chapter is perfect — poignant and compelling, as Harry reveals his fear and frustration, alternating between fight (when he’s bold and mouthy) and flight (when he runs). You’ve captured Severus so beautifully too, as he remains skeptical of prince Potter, but is also starting to see the realities before him. Thanks so much for this beautiful chapter.

I was thinking it had some similarities before, but now I am absolutely certain that you have seen the RFK Camp movie! :D have you been to Royal Family Kids' Camp? This summer will be my seventh year volunteering. I wish we had the resources to go all summer! But we have a hard enough time getting enough men for just one week. I hope Harry and Severus end up as well as Ken and Eli (but minus Uncle Vernon showing up at camp).
Author's Response: Uncle Vernon definitely won't be showing up. I haven't been to those camps. I did volunteer for three weeks at an outdoor school for 6th graders and I have always remembered that during training they told us that for some kids, this would be the only safe place they have known. Not everything is similar to the movie, I have tried to make it my own artistically but have taken some thematic elements I saw.

Interesting parallel between Harry running from Snape and Harry understanding how Lily had felt as she ran from her own counselor. I'm also wondering who will find Harry's drawing, how they will connect it to him, and what the potential ramifications might be. Another great chapter!
That didn't go well. They are off to a rocky start. I hope Severus can get over his preconceived notions about Harry. His talk with Rhys may give him some ideas. I hope so.
