In my opinion, this was not OOC. I could see Snape holding someone's hand when no one was around to judge him or make fun of him. I had a panic attack once and thought I would die. They're awful! I'm glad Snape was around to help Harry and I'm glad the meadow was real. I loved when Snape said he wouldn't treat Harry with kid gloves because I can see the two of them living in the meadow and feeling free for the first time in their lives.

This story is moving and touched me deeply. You described Harry's state so well! And the characters weren't OOC at all.
Reading this made me go back to 10 years ago, when I was the same age as your Harry, feeling depressed, shattered and half-mad.
This story brought back this feeling but in a bittersweet way, as your story as a happy ending for both Harry and Snape. :)
Very lovely, moving story. I really liked this: "But Snape reminded him the day he took Harry to the Ministry to petition for custody that the future wasn't so uncertain. There was a meadow with wildflowers overlooking the mountains waiting for him if Snape could convince the court." because it seems (to me) to encompass the hope in all of this. Nicely told story.

Remarkable. Well done in showing the emotions and insecurities that both had. I wanted to ask for a sequel but it seems right to end it the way you did.
