Reviews For Summer Snaps
Author's Response: Maybe, who knows..
me encanta como detallas esta relaciĆ³n naciente, es genial Author's Response: ENGLISH!
Author's Response: That wouldn't work. While inflicting pain in order to be 'healed' is not completely unheard off, inflicting that kind of anguish so they won't feel anything during surgery is completely counter productive. Much better to feel the pain of surgery if the crusiatus is the price of sedation. Also, Crusio is supposed to cause tremors as an after affect, not very useful when preforming surgery. It may have been invented for that reason though, but if so than it ended up completely useless for it's purposes. But I'm not looking for the reason behind it's invention, nor am I really looking for a 'light' way to use the curse. The whole 'The exception proves the rule' thing :) As for Dumbledore.. I'm not certain if I agree with your assessment of him. To start with the fact that you seem to think Dumbledore has an aversion to the darker arts.. Personally, I don't think that's true. I think he was badly burned when he was younger and decided that he needed to stay away from that kind of temptation. But I don't think he has a problem with Snape walking on that border he stays so far away from. He trusts Sev, because he has already made a mayor mistake and learned where his personal limit is. I think Dumbledore trusts those with experience to know what they are doing.. It's just that Dumbledore is afraid for those without experience, he fears that they will have to learn the same way he and many others did. It's the whole ancient man with ten times our experience wants to protect all the 'young-lings' from his mistakes. He doesn't understand that it is precisely the amount of experience he has that limit his world-view. It's like every experience is a rule. The more experiences you have, the more rules that govern the world around you. More rules means stricter world and thus less possibilities.. I think I have something similar in my next chapter, though there it doesn't pertain Dumbledore. :P
Author's Response: True, and Dumbledore knows that. But remember, ones upon a time both Dumbledore and Snape were sorely tempted by the darker side of magic. Both of them made some serious mistakes because they wanted power and sought it with the help of magic. Dumbledore is afraid that Harry will make the same mistakes they made. He doesn't understand that unlike them, Harry is truly selfless. Nor does he realize that Harry's interest in the dark arts stems from his love of all magic, not his lust for power. So, he's not happy that Harry is reading that particular book because of what it might mean for Harry, and possibly for Snape if he is teaching Harry dark magic. Snape on the other hand, has learned something vital about Harry's character during the first few weeks of the summer. It's why he choose to be Harry's guardian and decided to teach the child. But I'm not going to say what since it will most likely be explained in the final chapter... :D
Author's Response: Thank you, that was exactly the goal :)
Author's Response: haha, not really that much of a confrontation.. Harry was there so Snape had to reign in a bit of his temper... Thank you for the review though, I love comments like that :)
Author's Response: That's a high complement, thank you. Only a few more chapters left but I'm thinking of a sequel. So no worries, there will be more. :) Ow, and I have another story! It's on pause due to the contest but if you like the way I write, you should try it. :p
Author's Response: You're probably right, but alas it does not. I wanted to do that at first but I changed my mind. My other story is from multi POV and I thought that it would be fun to keep this one from Harry's POV. It's a new experience for me, which is good for improving my writing. I am writing an extra chapter from Snape's POV though. It's going to be the last chapter of this particular story. It will be at the end of the summer (or maybe start of the next year) and it will be mostly about Snape reminiscing about everything that happened the past summer. It won't be going into detail or anything like that, since I don't like repeating chapters, it'll just give you an idea of the most influential moments of the summer from his POV. It'll be more of an extra just for fun...
