Poor Harry, he's confused and thinks that Severus bonded with him because of the magic rite, but it's more than that. Started tearing up when reading about Severus working on his house and not answering the door for Vernon Dudley and not wanting to have any bond/be around Harry anymore.

Thank you a great chapter
Wow!!
So Severus wasn't invited to the party. Too bad. I was hoping that Mr. Weasley would have asked him to come. I'm looking forward to finding out what Vernon wants though.
Author's Response: Thanks for the reviews! I guess Mr Weasley didn't want to invite Snape without Harry's permission. Also I had this mind - see chapter 11 :-)

Ok, that was a great chapter and an even greater cliffhanger. I'm so incredibly curious about the appearance of Vernon.
You nailed the exhaustion one feels when trying to keep up masks, especially when not knowing how one is supposed to react "normally". Harry's survival in the past was dependent upon knowing the correct reaction to show in any given circumstance. I can only imagine the stress he must feel right now.
I love how perceptive Harry is when reading Mrs Weasley. But there is that survival instinct again.
Author's Response: Thanks! I agree perfectly with your analysis of Harry and that it has to do with survival instincts.
