I liked the new bits. I’ll admit some of the parts of the original story I skipped over after my first read through because Ron was a trigger, so I don’t remember some parts with Ron, the other villains, and the villainous being well.
Where the interludes the new bits? I liked those. The only beta-ish thing that threw me off was when Minvera is talking to Harry earlier in this chapter (I think). I think you repeated yourself about the look in her eyes.
Either way, I look forward to reading more of the edit!
BTW, will Means of Survival (i think that’s the title) ever be posted on this site?

Yeah, the interludes are completely new. They've been percolating in my head for nearly 10 years.
As to A Means of Survival, gosh I'll have to think on that. The only bits I can post are the ones without explicit stuff, and that's easily half the story. I don't know if I dare to reread that fic at all. The only one I get more flames on than Breaking Forward(s) is that fic.
