Another great chapter! I'm very curious about Bellamy and how Payne Alley will feature into the story, as well as how Harry will get buisness back to Knockturn Alley. Also I love it when Snape helps Harry!

    Knockturn needs more advertising.
(Maybe Harry should suggest the idea of coupons to the magical public)

BTW where on your map would the Weasley twins shop eventually be?

    Author's Response:

There are going to be some changes in the upcoming chapters that will make space on Diagon for new businesses.  However in this universe I'd like to think with all the changes being made to Knocturn that the twins would want to open up a shop there, especially seeing as how Knocturn has always been forbidden to them and that's just the kind of thing they would do as soon as they're of age.  It will all be more clear when you see the changes happening in the next chapter.  A new map will be coming out too.

Coupons are a great idea.  I never even thought of that.  I'll have to think about how Harry would incorporate that into his plans.  I also hadn't thought of advertising.  Maybe Harry could get an ad on wizard radio or put fliers up in the Leaky Cauldron.  There's all that space on the brick wall behind the Leaky Cauldron where fliers could maybe go...

This is really good! I'm super excited to see what will happen next. I really love how you write Harry, and I'm curious how the court case will play out.

You have yet to write a story that I don't like. Unfortunately or fortunately, you have yet to write a story that I don't wait for each chapter with bated breath. This story is no different, I was thrilled to see a new chapter of this story and sorry I read it too fast! I love that you are exploring Harry's kindness, we saw glimpses of it in the books and movies. I look forward to your next chapter.

Hurray for another new chapter! The themes or things this story deals with is expanding with every chapter (or so it seems to me). First it was about Harry, his homelessnes and situation in regards to the court case, then we got pulled into the situation of the orphanage and Miss. Tilly. Now we get to see in depth of the rest of Knockturn alley and even Payne alley. Its really sad how the wizarding world ostracises the poor and the different i.e. vampires, goblins, the fae folk. A lovely story with so much depth - NOT the usual Harry and Severus story that focuses almost solely on this relationship and things pertaining to that alone (like Harry's nightmares and the Durseleys). That said I am looking forward to seeing dear old Snape again. He just won't know what to make of this new side of Harry he's seeing.
Thank you for another splendid chapter. Happy New year!!

    Author's Response:

Thanks for your review.  It's still all really about Harry.  In the beginning Harry was very much inside his own head with his own situation, but through his determination to make a better life for himself he's coming to discover that he's not the only person in need or in trouble.  During his time on Diagonalley he's learning for the first time in his life that the world is bigger than himself and his problems and his eyes are being opened to what's going on around him.  That's not to say that his issues aren't signifigant, they are.  But there comes a time in every persons life (hopefully) where they gain the ability to look outside of their lives and realize that the world is more than just their own story and their own issues.  With these realizations Harry is also learning that he has the ability to effect change not only in his own life but in the lives of others, and in a positive way.

Glad you left a review.  I like hearing what others think :)

I had to read this from beginning to current today and I love the story so far! Normally I only ever go for completed stories but something about this pulled me to it and I'm really glad it did! Please keep writing! I love the balance of fluff, angst, childlike Harry, and the Harry that's being forced to grow up faster than others his age due to circumstances. It's wonderfully refreshing and you have a great sense of pacing!

So far I really love this story and I hope you will continue it and update soon! Is Harry going to end up living with Snape? And if so, would it be on Dumbledore's orders? I hope to find out soon, if you would just update :D

Love this chapter. But I'm waiting for the moment you make me cry because all of your stories make me cry at some point.
