Severus is certainly being clever. Letting out food that looks like it has been picked at and the sign on the room were all good ways to get Harry what he needs.
I like how Snape thinks to make a sort of shortcut to the chase. I feel for Ginny's poor pet...
Author's Response: Yes, poor puffskein ... I based this on the things written in handwriting in the first edition of "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them", where someone asked what happened to the puffskein and it is revealed Fred and George used it to play Quidditch.
Thanks for commenting!
Awwww, I love it. Beautiful the way the doe, and Snape are taking care of Harry without Harry knowing it. I hope Harry gets the rest he needs, and that Snape finds him soon before he gets too sick! I love that the doe is staying with Harry. Awww. Thanks for the update and for sharing this story!

A lovely sweet chapter, but where did he get the 6 galleons from?
Author's Response: I thought he might have some money left from his shopping trip in first year. After all, the Dursleys don't know it is there, and he probably took out a lot more than was necessary for his school stuff, as he wasn't aware of how much things would cost. Or perhaps he got the money himself when he flooed to Diagon Alley with the Weasleys. (I didn't write that out here, because I imagine it went about the same as in the original, and it wouldn't really add much to the story.)
Poor Harry. How stubborn is Dumbledore?
Author's Response: Much too stubborn ... but Severus is stubborn, too.
I hope you update this story soon
