Reviews For Non Solum
Author's Response: "Even though he's been ordered to befriend Harry, he doesn't have to do a very good job of it, now does he." -Snape's thought process, probably. And thank you very much for taking the time to review all the chapters! It means a lot
Author's Response: and his place of residence, and where he eats, and, and this a real kicker, the classes he will attend will be Gryffindor :D
I guess Alfonse will remain a prick for the first few chapters (ir first many chapters, given the way he's not putting ANY effort into getting to know Harry.), he makes me want to kick him. Dumbledore's words hold so damn true, "You see what you expect to see." I love the way that Neville just solved the problem passingly, as if he couldnt even see what the problem was. Would we see Luna too???? Soon???? I really like the story so far! Author's Response: You can definitely expect to see a lot of Ginny! I wouldn’t expect much romantically because Harry just has too much going on, but who knows the characters have minds of their own sometimes lol. Snape will definitely be a prick for a while yet- he won’t suddenly wake up one day and be like huh I completely misjudged Harry Potter for the past five years!!! Time to mentor him!!!! Like it just doesn’t work like that. We simply have to stan Neville- he’s the only sane one out here djjdjd. You can definitely expect to see Luna soon, but between Harry’s self esteem issues and her own newness to friendship, they’re gonna need an impetus to further their relationship which I fully intend to give them. I'm sure Harry will have the same struggles in the future. :( Author's Response: yeah my Harry will never miraculously be Okay, he'll struggle with his self-esteem and loss, but I do intend to have him gradually get better, especially since his support system will improve (especially once ron + hermione pull their heads out of their butts lol) im glad you think the way Harry is handling things is realistic though, i've never suffered the same level of loss he has so I'm mostly drawing on reading experience and the smaller losses i've suffered
I love that he's like, "Where's the liquor?" LOL Severus has to drown his sorrows in a drink. I really love that Ginny is so protective of Harry. It's so refreshing to see a fiery version of her in fan fiction. Poor Harry. He really does need an adult on his team. Sev! You better be nicer next time! Author's Response: i really struggled a lot with deciding what to call him in prose, and I'm thinking that you may be right about that, so when I get a chance I'll probably go through and fix that. he's really goin through it and havin one last hurrah with his firewhiskey would be just the ticket!!!! if you like my version of Ginny, then buckle up for the next chapter! she features prominently :) and the ultimate goal of this fic is to get an adult on Harry's side, I'm itching for them to unite and stick it to dumbledore tbh but god knows when I'll get there lskdfjls
Author's Response: you got me! that's what half this fic is going to be until he takes his head and removes it from the sand it is comfortably buried in sldkfjsdl
Author's Response: honestly she probably didn't ever think that because she's fallen prey to assuming that everyone is just like her, and for her overloading her plate is how she copes with things, it gives her less time to think about the crappy things she went through. idk i just like Ginny a lot, so i tend to defend her sldkfjs anyways, I'm glad you liked it and are passionate about my writing (!!!!!)
Dumbledore is such a busybody. Every single version of Dumbledore has this quality. Like seriously, has he nothing better to do than mess with people's lives? xD Author's Response: you'd think that someone who's the supreme mugwump of the international confederation of wizards, chief warlock of the wizengamot, head of hogwarts, vigilant group leader, and god knows what else would have better things to do than meddle with people's lives, but no. he doesn't.
Author's Response: keep in mind, ginny and harry are the epitome of angsty teenagers so they're gonna be irrational! and snape still very much has his head in the sand so he's not going to be the most rational either so this is gonna be a fun irrational stew for a while yet lmaoo
Author's Response: Yeah I knew when I set out to write this that I had to find a way to make sure Snape's alter ego looks nothing like him because he's definitely reluctant enough to do this in the first place that I just couldn't see him putting in the extra effort to make sure his mannerisms didn't give him away!!! And before Snape can discover anything about Harry he'll have to pull his head out of the sand which may be a bit difficult for him sldkfj |
