This is great. Unusual concept and I love Harry's character - he's a real mix of all the Hogwarts house traits. And Snape (hah, Snake) manages to be in character even stuck in a photo. Wonder what Petunia would think if she found out what Harry has brought into the house.
Author's Response: Thank you! Oh, Petunia would totally freak out if she knew that not only he brought "that horrible Snape boy" into the house, but also a cursed photo! The danger to her precious Dudders! But Snape is clever enough to hide out of sight when he sleeps, so it is not likely she will catch Harry with anything but a boring photo of a beach.
This story is really intriguing! I am looking forward to chapter 3. The photograph is an original idea I hadn't seen before.
Author's Response: Thank you! I think I might have stolen the idea from the girl imprisoned in a painting in Roald Dahl's "Witches" - I found it very scary.

Fantastic update! I'm really loving this story.. Great descriptions. I'm glad Harry managed to find an Owl, and explain why his shoes were muddy so he wouldn't get in trouble.
I'm worried about who this new guy is! Who is he? Ahhhh... please update when you can!

I was a bit unsure whether post owls are specially trained, but Pigwidgeon seemed to be a wild owl who volunteered to deliver Sirius' letter, so I guess they just like working for a wizard family - food safety and health insurance?
