Somehow, I suspect something is wrong with this letter from the Dursleys. And then there's the fact Umbridge probably knows about it ...
I can't wait to see how that will turn out.
Since you mentioned needing a beta: I'm not a native speaker, so can't help you with your English grammar, but I am pretty sure that the British don't celebrate Thanksgiving, since it was invented in the US. A Christmas dinner would make more sense to me in that context.

I’m enjoying your story a lot. I do think a beta would help you with some of the minor grammar issues. They distract from an otherwise interesting and well written story.
