Oh, I am so happy I finally chose to read this! As woozy as the medical information gets me, I love biology based vampires deeply and am tremendously excited to dig into this.
Your story is so very lived-in. I love the cultural weight you have managed to imbue conversation of vampires with without falling into exposition. Hagrid's inclusion was just delightful. I felt special, forgetting for a moment that this wasn't canon Hagrid finally speaking on my favorite subject! And oh my gosh, the Weasleys! What a fantastic idea to bring one of the twins down to earth as a gateway to Harry being a friend of the family despite his Slytherin status. And it's so rare that we see the twins allowed to show intellect outside of pranking.
Thank you so much for sharing this story with us, I can't wait to dig deeper!

I love the blood pops idea thank you
Author's Response: Nothing like some blood flavored sugar to liven things up!
Having Hagrid walking to Hogsmeade was a nice touch. Who else to ask about magical creatures and their illnesses? And Snape is right - Albus should give him some help dealing with the cost.
Author's Response: So, originally this scene was going to be Severus riding on the carriages with Hagrid to Hogsmeade at the end of the year, but then Julian/Harry needed more time to recover without me going "ooo, magic" and I ended up bumping up the entire timeline by a month. And then I realized I had an extra month of time I had to fill.... But yeah, Hagrid is the best for asking about dangerous magical creatures, no doubt about that.
I LOVE medical stories, the more detailed the better. I would never have thought of combining it with vampires but it works well.
Author's Response: I'm glad you're enjoying it! Really truly, I am!
