This idea is really interesting ! Thank you ! Author's Response: Yay! I'm so glad you found it :) It's a pretty new fic, but I've been trying to update it regularly. I'm excited about where this will take Harry and Snape! Snape is going to struggle finding his balance between being his usual hardcore self, and realizing that he can't avoid having emotions about Harry. But it will be a fun journey, lol. Thanks so much for reading and taking the time to review. It's so motivating to hear from the readers and to know that there are people enjoying the fic. New Chapter coming soon (and I think it's been my favorite to write so far). Things are getting juicy!

He makes a brief appearance in the next chapter, but I decided I like him, so he's got a big chapter coming up right after that. Hope you stick around for the ride. I see you used described Harry's cloak as a security blanket. :) I really liked reading all of Snape's musings about his apprenticeship. Will he go meet his old master in person? Travel to his old apprenticeship home? That's got to bring up a lot of memories and feelings. I wonder how their conversation will go. And I wonder if Harry will be able to seek around without being caught or not. Great chapter! I'm really enjoying this story. Thanks so much for updating and sharing it! Author's Response: You know Harry, he can't help himself...now the question is, what happens from here? Yes, his cloak as a security blanket was definitely a shoutout to your observations :) This is what is fun about writing fanfic with feedback as you go. I love it. We will definitely be meeting Master Barclay. It should be very interesting for Snape. He's been on his own for a long time but this is the one man whose approval he always wants and needs. I'm not sure Harry really trusts Snape with his safety yet. I look forward to that feeling and trust growing. I hope Snape has some pepperup potions or missing sleep potions to take. With all these late nights he's got to be tired. Poor Harry is worn out. I wonder if he doesn't see the invisibility cloak as a security blanket after sleeping with it for so long when he was on the run. I bet it's filthy too unless it has magic keeping it clean. Do Harry's old clothes still fit him? Will the Gryffindor badges on his robes be changed back to whatever they were before he got sorted? Fantastic story and development so far! I appreciate you leaving the chapter were it is. No cliffhangers. I really look forward to seeing how Snape will get the Potions group to allow him to make Harry his apprentice. Would mentioning Harry's orphan state and that Harry is the son of Snape's oldest friend help? Or will it be based purely on potential? I can't wait to find out. Thank you for writing and posting! Please update when you can. :) Author's Response: These are all great questions and they will DEFINITELY be addressed in the upcoming chapters. I'm working on them now, and I'm smiling because we will get a fun few Snape and Harry interactions as they deal with all of these things :) You hit the nail on the head with the cloak. It was his only piece of "magic" that kept him safe-- and you're absolutely right that it became a security blanket. Plus it helped him feel connected to his dad. I don't think this is the last we'll be seeing or hearing about this cloak :) I've been writing like a fiend this week- so hopefully I'll have another chapter up soon. This story has come to me in a huge wave and I can't seem to get it out quickly enough. Thank you for your detailed and thoughtful reviews- it helps me stay motivated and excited to write this story and know that it's not going completely out into the void! Sidenote: Snapes not the only one, I think I need some pepper-up, lol. |
