Good, Sev, *good*! I'm so glad he didn't dismiss what the rat-bastard said out of hand! When Elias wakes up ask him if he dreamed of the meeting? What did he see? Did he see the evil wanker kill Nott? Did he experience Sev being crucioed?

If Sev would just think it through he'd realize that Eli *isn't* "relapsing", he's experiencing being freshly crucioed! The effect must be cumulative as this time he almost died!

You're doing an infinitely better job of *honestly* conveying the effects of the crucio curse through Harry's scar than in canon! I thought it typical of Rowling to dismiss Harry *feeling* the crucio, yet no one ever thought to offer HIM treatment after one of his visions!

Hmmm, so Shannon *doesn't* know that the child that Dinkless brought to her with the dark magic surrounding him and the cut on his forehead and Sev's son Elias are the same child. I would have still figured that her scans would pick up the dark energy from the Horcrux, though!

Well, Sev's going to *have* to do something soon or Moldy is going to kill him or permanently damage him unknowingly!

Poor Teddy! Well, at least the murder of his mother and baby sister have been avenged! Cold comfort maybe, but that's how I'd see it.

    Whew, tough chapter!😢

Ahhh, but there's the clue; the first thing that Remus read! They discovered that they *could* move magical populations away from ley lines as long as there was sufficient electrical infrastructure which would not only allow magicals to "recharge" their cores but also allow them to increase their power levels! This would also mean that magic does *not* necessarily interfere with /shielded/ electrical devices!

So, who would it benefit the most to keep magicals *away* from electricity and to prevent anyone from researching the value gained by magicals being around it? Hmmmm? Would it have been *before* a certain twinkly-eyed goat buggerer?

I'm hoping that Umbitch wears out her "welcome" *before* she takes it into her head to do something to Eli!
I'm proud of Sev for standing up to her; I'm actually surprised that Dingleberry didn't try to intercede between them and then try to come down on Elias for having the book! "I'll just confiscate this for now, until I can ascertain if there's anything too 'sensitive' for Young Elias to be studying!" Twinkle, twinkle, twinkle.

    Thanks!

    Aww, breakin' my heart again!

    Poor kid!

Sev needs to sneak out one weekend and take Elias to get the prophecy NOW! No dawdling, no procrastination; now! Then they'll be able to get an idea of what's going through Dumbasfu**'s head!

    Thanks!

    Yep, Dumblefu** the Delusional!
Btw, BS the Dursleys *didn't* physically abuse Harry! Just because her ghostwriters at Bloomsbury edited out the graphic abuse that Rowling DID write, doesn't mean the tell-tales *aren't* still littered throughout the books!

Let me know, and I'll send you the links from Quora and a couple of other sites where the writers did their due diligence and list the many, many "hints" left behind!

How about the line, "Aunt Petunia swung the frying pan at his head, but it must have been a half-hearted attempt because he was able to duck, so she missed *this time*." Or the times that Harry was *wary* of getting in range of Vernon's hands, so he couldn't grab him!

Just those TWO show that Harry had been subjected to physical abuse and not just by Dudley and his gang! Getting THROWN, bodily into a cupboard under the stairs with the shelving, cleaning tools, and the stairs right above IS physical abuse!
What about Bumblingbore's *threat* to Petunia? "Petunia, remember my last!"

Excuse me, but what "last"? That says that Dumbles has threatened Petunia before! But if there's been no contact between the Dursleys and him and the only one being "the letter" left with Harry on the doorstep, WHAT *LAST*?! What was the warning? To stop nearly killing the toddler/little boy? Or that they needed to step up the program of degradation?

I'd dearly *love* to find out the context behind that!

Gosh, I'm not getting any replies; I'm beginning to wonder if my reviews are going to you. You usually do reply...

    Oh, well.
    Talk to you soon!

Okay, guys, you're starting to use your brains, but DON'T SPREAD IT AROUND! Try, try, TRY to realize that that "Hogwarts Rumor Mill" can work to put Elias in deadly danger!

    Please?!!

Please, don't take this the wrong way, but Tonks' investigation and suspicions PERFECTLY match what I've said ever since I read the books: Either Rowling's parallel universe is *really* screwed-up when it comes to child abuse OR "someone's" been preventing Harry from being rescued and more than likely has been "encouraging" the Dursleys to make Harry's life as miserable and painful as possible, just short of killing him!

Why? So that he's willing and *eager* to leave *this* wretched life and allow Moldy to kill him --and kill the Horcrux in Harry-- which will fulfill the bs Prophecy and then Dingleberry can step up and kill Moldy and be the big hero again!

The really sad thing is that I know exactly how Harry felt! I failed twice to kill myself before I was even a teenager! If I hadn't had my *escape* --my books like "Jane Eyre", "Thursday's Child", and "Tom Brown's School Days" and others that told of adults who did *care* and did *rescue* the abused, neglected, and bullied kids; the books that gave me *hope* of escaping my childhood misery!-- I might have tried again and succeeded!
I'll tell you one thing if I'd read the HP books at that time in my life, I'd have given up hope and tried a lot harder!

I hope you kill off the MOB! Pleeeease??

    Thanks!

So COOL! Using Draco - Pureblood Scion and a mundane "potato battery" to prove that electricity boosts magical power!

It also explains why Eli's accidental magic was amplified at the hospital to actually eject Hermione out the door and into a wall instead of just pushing her to leave!

Excellent! Love *some* of the arcs!

Wow, Ron's the one using his brain; are you sure you didn't have Ron and Hermione switch bodies?

    Thanks!

Yep, it's the old Granger from the first year: Miss high & mighty know-it-all. It really was no wonder she didn't have any friends! Though I find her lack of empathy, in this instance to be highly improbable. #1 As the child of dentists --they're still medical professionals-- she would have been exposed to all manner of medical journals and learned empathy for "afflicted" persons early. And #2, having been bullied and friendless for most of her childhood, her empathy for the "odd-man-out", the disabled, and the ostracised should have her sympathy radar going off the scale! Instead, she's acting like a "Ron" or a pureblood; someone who's never been exposed to someone with a disability!

Welp, we'll see where Elias' "slip" goes...

Great chapter! Love that Sev got McGonagall in on the act!

    Thanks!

Jumping Jehosaphat! Not *another* "misunderstanding" built on faulty assumptions and lack of context!

Colin is already off to a good start on what he'll need to go to work for the Lamestream Media of today!

"The Daily Prophet" was *supposed* to demonstrate IRONY *not* be a blueprint for how today's media functions: Highest bidder, leftist bias, and a dumbed-down sheeple populace. "What a strange new world we live in..."

Nice intro for Elias to the Slytherins. That Theo and the others are becoming aware is a *good* thing. While you've now got me referring to 'Mione as "Granger" and that her "fast and loose" (and expurgated!) interpretation and relay of her "meeting" with Elias has become "evidence" against him!

He didn't ask her "blood status", he asked if she were a muggleborn and they were having as much of a conversation as Elias was capable of having with his condition and stutter, but Granger had to keep pushing, and then she began treating him as if he were mentally defective and not giving him time to finish his sentences! Then she refused to back down and give the subject and his growing sense of frustration a rest! He certainly didn't mean for his accidental magic to blow her out the door!
But, ya know, I don't think it was just *his* accidental magic; I think it was both of them and the ambient magic and electricity combined to amplify the effect!
But *your* Granger has to be right!

Something else worries me: What if Moldywarts decides that he wants Sev to bring his son to meet him? The horrible thing is that Moldy is so warped he'd probably think nothing of deciding to eliminate Sev's "defective" and "inferior" half-blood offspring and think he was doing Sev a "favor".

I still don't think that Harry got his parseltongue from Moldy (Rowling never allowed Harry to test if he still had the ability after Moldy's defeat, did she?) and I think that both Harry and TMR were Slytherin/Peverell descendants. I think Harry's came through *Lily* through a revived squib line and I'd prefer to think that *that* was Lily's protection. The resurrection blood made them "brothers" of a sort...

Anyhoo, I was really hoping that "Hermione" would be able to help Eli with his thesis, from the muggleborn perspective. *sigh* But instead she's choosing to make herself his enemy!
Imagine, pitting yourself against a severely disabled child! Your Granger's got some problems!

    See ya!🤗

Wow, sure wish someone would have done something like this in canon, but instead, Rowling chose to make accomplices of every. single. adult. --and even Ron, Hermione, and Neville-- in Harry's life! Her attempts to force the idea that this is NORMAL for her alternate universe: One that's "amazingly" identical to ours in all other aspects except for one: Child abuse, neglect, and bullying are systematically *ignored* and/or dismissed by the entire population; even close relatives and "best friends"!

*That* is what makes me want to projectile vomit whenever anyone brings up how much they "*love*" the HP books!

Really? Live through Harry's life! I predict that her next book(s) will be about how much abducted and sex trafficked babies and children really "love" their short, horrific lives. I wouldn't put it past her or Bloomsbury!

Good for Nev! He's paying attention and taking note! I'm proud of him for speaking up too!

    Thanks! Good chapter!
