Every chapter you post just makes me want the next one even faster! But that indicates how good your story is, so no worries. I am glad Snape confided in Remus since I think he needs more people to lean on. Poppy is great but she's one person. You did trick us with the Hermione thing. Poor Elias, he really needs a break.
Author's Response: Snape just needs a friend and Poppy is just a bit too much in Albus's pocket imo. I'm not going to lie, I don't think Elias is going to be getting a break anytime soon. Not for a while at least.

Oh thank Merlin! I was thinking that remus might be more loyal to harry -- or at least to his dead friends-- so it'd be good to tell him now before he could find out and it get twisted around by hermiones stupid theories. Honestly, her theories had the whole school bullying Elias for a little while there (we haven't forgotten that lol). Glad severus has him there to help go through this with. Umbktch definitely is going to raise a fuss now that snape has publicly snubbed her. Hopefully her reaction doesn't endanger Elias too much. Also it's interesting to ser the whole of slytherin react to notts death. On one hand, it could be used to suss out who may be swayed from the dark side... on another hand, most stories don't usually have a slytherin parent as..liked. y'know there's lucius who everybody thinks is slimy usually and sometimes narcissa who can go either way. But this has to be one of if not the first ff I've read where a parent of a slytherin is actually a good person, or at least a person who the students like. Really cool plot
Author's Response: Don't forget, Nott also tortured his wife while she was pregnant and ended up killing his infant daughter by-proxy. Don't forget that part too. Just because he is a wealthy benefactor does not mean that he was an upstanding individual in the slightest. The not all of the Slytherins are wealthy, so they aren't able to buy their position into a job unless they have a benefactor behind them. For the ambitious Slytherins, a leg up is a leg up no matter where it comes from. Sure, some of them wouldn't take the offer, but others... Yeah. Easy way to recruit for the Death Eaters too.

At last Severus has worked out the connection between Elias and Voldemort. I’m worried about Hermione being the one to confirm who Elias is. In this universe she doesn’t have her usual judgement, and she always wants to go to adults and it might be disastrous if she goes to Minerva or Dumbledore. Let’s hope Lupin at least asks questions, or Tonks comes through with information that will stop Lupin going to Dumbledore.

Idiot! She's going to go rambling to Lupin who'll figure it out and Merlin knows he'll go to Dumbledore. Poor Elias, I know he's afraid of port keys,but it's the safest way to travel in his condition and I don't see that changing. Apparation had him laid up sick when snape took him room the hospital, and even as harry he couldn't exit a floo without tripping. I hope the doctors paperwork holds up; snape really needs to figure something out about the old lightning bolt scar if ever Elias can be really safe. Great chapter as usual
Author's Response: I know it’s not really well explained, but the old lightning bolt isn’t visible, just the tail ends of the bolt itself. He is, however, bleeding under the skin and is bruising in that area. Glad you’re enjoying! Much more to come!
Remus is about to find out if Hermione thinks he already knows. Glad she is at least thinking before she acts or accuses this time! Poor Elias, they have got to get him disconnected from Voldie or get Voldie to lay off the Crucios! Maybe someone should start dosing HIM with extra strength calming potion or get him into anger management classes!
