I think Eileen is mostly powerless, poor, and recovering from abuse. Dumbledore is coming from a position of great power. For me, I’m more sympathetic toward Eileen’s situation than Albus’s. Your story continues to be fascinating and well written.

I agree with your summary. I have never liked Dumbledore because he never felt he should check on Harry or help him with his home life. He didn’t give Harry the tools to help him make choices and excused it as being for Harry’s benefit. No adult should knowingly leave a child in an abusive situation and he did. Thank you the letter was very enlightening
