    I really like this story, but I think it's moving towards what another really good story about Harry did where Harry was Snape's biological son, though he discovers this Harry's first year, while Snape has been raising Harry's younger half-brother. Snape's continuing nastiness will eventually make his redemption untenable. There's too much emphasis on Snape's perspective to overcome this if it builds enough because he is acting like a petty bully. You began to walk it back this chapter and then did an abrupt turn around. I think if Snape's acceptance doesn't increase in pace, it will reduce the reader's investment in the story before he ever gets to redemption (that's my assessment--but I do think it's a pacing issue that is necessary because of the reader's access to Snape's thoughts).
    Very good story though.

    Author's Response: Thanks for your review - I appreciate it. I'll bear in mind the pacing as I can see what you mean.

    Thanks for the nice long update! Severus is so stubborn. I thought he was coming around, but he clearly isn’t on a fundamental level. I like how Lucius put Draco in his place. Hopefully the truth about who Oma is comes out soon. The toad is back and I hope she doesn’t inflict too much damage.

    Author's Response: Who knows with Umbridge? Severus still has a long way to go but he's beginning to take the first reluctant steps

    What a brilliant long chapter with so much plot movement. I almost thought that Severus was learning some sense when it came to Harry and Holly and I loved the story of the desk, a lovely touch reminding us of Oma.

    Lucius has his work cut out with Draco and Severus and Draco has proved once again what's spoilt boy he is I'm surprised Minerva did not take points from him.

    Great to see Dolores back in the story, not sure what the "Guadian Medallions" are but they sound bad news in her hands.

    Thank you so much for updating your wonderful story

    Oof. One step forward and another step back for Snape, I see. Still, at least he'll learn to keep his mouth shut about Harry... Hopefully. Draco, probably not.

    I like how Draco's friends are more cunning than him. Despite Draco's lineage and prestige, he acts a lot more on emotion than his peers which continues to bite him in the butt, but because he's so stubborn he's not learning from his mistakes nearly as much as he should. Having Snape enabling his dislike of Harry also adds to it, and will probably definitely have to be addressed. They're both creating a mini echo chamber.

    I'm curious how the addition of Umbridge as an active antagonist will go, especially in concerns to Malfoy Sr. She doesn't seem like she'd be much of a threat to him, but if she actually manages to throw him off his game somehow, it would be an interesting thing to see since he tries so hard to keep control.

    Anyway, fun chapter as usual, and I won't lie, I made an embarrassing happy squeal when I saw you updated. It was a nice treat after work. 😁

    Author's Response: Thank you so much for your review. Yes, I do believe Draco and Snape are enabling each other. Draco is taking a lot of his cues from his godfather and I think Severus is glad that there is someone on his side, even if said person is a teen. As for Umbridge- who knows? 🤷r05;a92;a039;
