Excellent chapter I loved the different viewpoints. I very rarely agree with Lucius but Severus definitely needs to get his head out of his behind! You are portraying the hatred Severus has for Harry so well. He is even prepared to upset Holly in order to get even with Harry. I think he needs to see a shrink or two. Thank you so much for well put together chapter
Thanks for this letter. It was illuminating. Eileen was interfering, indeed. I wonder if Harry, Holly, and Severus will forgive her.
This was a thoroughly enjoyable chapter! It was terrific, especially at the end where we got to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I hope it’s a portent of things to come!
Oh my goodness, I’m so hyped about this story! I love this sassy, miniature snape with a heart called Holly and her unbreakable relationship with Harry. And everything, every character, is so well written and unique. Yours is one of the stories I like to think about as ‘canon’-worthy. Please continue writing.
Amazing update. I love your works soo much. I can’t wait for the Harry/Lucius talk!
I’m so glad I found this fic again. I’m loving it.
Despite having this story in my alerts list I somehow only realized this chapter was up today.
Anyway, I love how distinct each character's voice is in your writing. I always struggle with that so reading this is a huge joy.
As for Snape, I'm glad you're taking his relationship with Harry so slowly, so to speak. When people are wrong about something and have drenched themselves in the lie they've made, it takes A LOT to pull them out of it. It's a slow and painful process, and I think you've shown this brilliantly so far!
Thanks for the nice, long update. I liked Lucius speaking his mind to Severus, though I wish he had been more clear about how Severus could move forward productively with Holly. I can imagine Snape’s frustration at all of the deceit from those he’s close to. I truly wish that everyone would come clean about the situation (taking the wards off Holly’s album, telling Snape about Oma, etc.). Hopefully, they will realize soon that being dishonest with Snape is not helping!
I can understand Snape’s ire at having the truth of his daughter’s background and her important relationships with people he knows be kept hidden from him. Although his behavior was undoubtedly irrational and despicable, he deserves to know the truth! I hope that Harry can persuade Holly that her dad was only trying to protect her on a primal level. Thanks for the update, and looking forward to what’s ahead.
A strange punishment for an angry person. Leaving him isolated and alone with his thoughts. I would think that even as an adult Severus would find it difficult to know that Eileen left him with Tobias and went on to parent a different child, even if it was his daughter. Part of him would be grateful for Holly’s sake but the child within would wonder why not me? An interesting chapter. I’m wondering what’s in that album…
