Reviews For The Cat-Collar Charm
Author's Response: aww, thanks for the kind review
Author's Response: yay!
I’m really enjoying this story. I loved how Snape caught Harry in the library and paused the collar alarm. The book contents were amusing. Poor Harry. He’s going to be exhausted the next day. Thanks for the update! Author's Response: I agree that it's a bit surprising that all three of them working together couldn't find anything-- but it actually is canonical. I think maybe its a combination of an outdated cataloging system and the fact that they haven't got a solid enough base of knowledge to know where quite where to start. Poor Harry is right-- and the next day will indeed be a lot for him! I've already written the next chapter so it'll be up in a week or so once I plot the final one in case I need to make changes.
Author's Response: I had a great deal of fun with those books :) I can see why it might feel like a longer story, and have had a few comments that way, but the next chapter was actually going to be the last one until I realised it wouldn't be enough to wrap up with! Probably when I post the next chapter it'll be clearer where it is going... it was never meant to stretch out to the end of Harry's fourth year.
Author's Response: Yay! I don't think Snape really thought it through when he put the collar on Harry, but he didn't want to back down completely. It's still pretty invasive but I do agree that its much better this way.
Author's Response: Thanks! tbh I'm not really sure what Snape would count as good behaviour for Harry, he's so invested in seeing the worst of him.
Author's Response: Hmm maybe-- though that wouldn't really work with the plot I've got worked out so far, where the ending wouldn't have as much impact if Harry was being a trouble maker. Maybe in another story.
Author's Response: ... gah of course wow I don't know how I missed that, usually I'm pretty good at keeping my timelines straight. Thanks for letting me know, though I really don't know who I could put in instead, guess I might have to make up a prefect. And I'm glad you are enjoying it so far.
Author's Response: Thank you for such a short and sweet review :) Must admit, though, haven't written very much more of this story at this point, mostly because I want to finish it up in a few chapters and this means doing some good hard plotting to get a natural end-point. So it's mostly vague outlines and random sentences right now heh heh heh... but I do want to get it done by the end of summer-- which might be the end of winter for you, I suppose, if you live in the Northern Hemisphere. Gosh, I don't know what it is about this site but it makes my review responses all rambly. But anyway, thanks again!
Author's Response: I must admit that one of my pleasures in life is torturing my fictional characters... and that reference is probably about as Christmassy as this story is going to get, because it wasn't written with the holiday season in mind. All my Christmas spirit is going into Shatter, this year, I suppose, so there is very little left over for this one :) |
