I know Snape is a grumpy git, but this deception that his family is maintaining is not right. And Nana asking harry to go along with it is also not right. For a family that talks about doing things for family, this is a really crappy thing to do even if Snap is an inadvertent snob.

Thanks for this swift update! I’m so glad that Maya was honest with her mother, and I’m looking forward to seeing how things come to a head. I was somewhat surprised by Alfred’s perspective, as Severus was a teenager who had lost his mother and lived through trauma when he moved in with Nana. So I would have expected more compassion from Alfred, though I suppose that Snape hasn’t helped his situation in the intervening years. I’m curious about who will confront Harry and how Severus will respond. Thanks for the update and I’m looking forward to reading on!
