Haha! I loved the Star Trek reference at the end. I loved how Snape was stuck with Harry and all the other teachers were not willing to even entertain him. They were DONE with students for the summer. LOL.

    Poor Harry.

Loved the humour of this chapter, but no I'm not a Star Trek fan

    Author's Response:

I hope you enjoyed even without knowning the Star Trek reference!

Lol! I love how stubborn Snape is being with refusing to say anything to Harry. There's a lot packed into this chapter in regards to Snape's character and thought! The last sentence is telling, and a bit sad: "Even the most sympathetic of anti-heros never makes it to the end."

    Again, I love the humor!

Your answer made sense about the swearing, and yes: I'm able and used to skipping over things. I actually don't remember picking up on that little clue about Snape spitting on the ground. That's very interesting! I guess I only ever think of the grand, poised Alan Rickman Snape that I love, but don't think about where he came from. But what you say makes so much sense. I mean, I went through that. I grew up in a Snapelike household. Alcoholic and abusive dad. Neglectful mom. I had to learn etiquette, hygiene and gravitas so that I wouldn't stand out when I went yo college: and I definitely find myself engaging in improper habits at times I need to make myself stop, very much like spitting on the ground! The one thing I thankfully never picked up was the bad language, and I have NO idea why, because I was exposed to it daily. It's one thing I've always been against, even though it took a while to understand about abuse and neglect.

Anyhoo, kudos to you for these important details! I am certainly enjoying this story.

    Author's Response:

I'm so glad you're enjoying it! *hugs* And I'm also really glad the swearing isn't too distracting. Moreover, I'm thrilled that you appreciate the little details. (I maybe tend to obsess sometimes).

I tried my best to keep the humor throughtout the story, but there are a couple of heavier chapters coming. I don't think it could be avoided completly, tbh. But they're not super dark or depressing. Just a little less comical.

That line about sympathetic anti-heros is maybe one of my favorite lines that I've written. Just like you said, it's both telling and heartbreaking. It makes me want to snuggle Snape. Even if he would hate it and try to run screaming from the room. :D

You're reviews are wonderful and very much appreciated! Thank you so much for reading and commenting!

I like how Severus is trying to foist Harry off on anyone he can. I’m really enjoying your story so far!

    Author's Response:

I'm so glad you're enjoying it! And, of course Snape is trying to get rid of the child! Why would he want that little brat anywhere near him. :P I actually feel really bad for Harry's shirt. Even McGonagall drags him around by the collar. I probably find way to much humor in that, actually.

Thank you so much for reading and reviewing!
